Course Elements

A polished, editorial component set for the plain-text diagrams, flows, trees, and tables in course markdown. The default is a refined monochrome design, finished to lesson quality but with no brand colour. Colour is layered on later by setting a few CSS variables, so these adopt whatever palette the LMS settles on with no markup change.

Theme preview Same markup, recoloured by tokens only.

Each block below shows a real diagram from a course updated this week, rebuilt as an HTML component. Expand “source” to see the original plain-text version it replaces.

How to use. Link the one stylesheet, then write semantic HTML using the .el-* classes. To re-theme everything, override the --el-* custom properties on a wrapper or :root; no component rule ever needs editing.

Comparison LDR 201 · Correcting a soldier

Correction that builds

  • In private, to the individual
  • About the act, not the person
  • States the standard and the fix
  • Ends with a way back

Correction that corrodes

  • In front of the team, to humiliate
  • Attacks character and worth
  • Vents feeling, names no standard
  • Leaves only shame
note
Rebuilt from the "good correction / bad correction" contrast prose
in LDR 201; the two-column form makes the contrast scannable.

Callouts safety · key point · note · warning

Safety

A tourniquet goes high and tight above the wound, and the time it went on is written down. It is not loosened in the field.

Key point

Rank and qualification are separate. Completing a course does not promote a soldier; the College makes them eligible, not senior.

Note

There is no Warrant Officer rank in this Army. Where a larger army places a warrant officer, this Army places a senior non-commissioned officer holding an appointment.

Before you continue

The practical range qualification for this course must be signed off in person; it can never be waived by online study alone.
